  2. Affixation is a morphological process where grammatical or lexical information is added to a base. For example, the affix –ment which is used to form nominalizations of verbs (achievement, assignment

  3. Types of affixation: There are three types of affixation, suffix, prefix, infix and circumfix. prefix is " affixes which attach to the left or front of a base For example; Unhappy: UN: prefix Happy: root

  4. suffix is affix which attach to the right or end of a base. For example: Happiness (N)

  5. Here in this type of affixes it changes the class of the word depending on the suffix added. For example: *Suffixes forming nouns : (1) Nouns from nouns, ) -dom form uncountable nouns, abstract. there are some words such as: fagdom, dollardom. Also, the suffix –ess as in astronautess and seeress, and –iana as in etoniana form nouns.

  6. This is the most common type that several words or nouns can be formed. For example many words can be form from the suffix –ation as in globalization, realization. • Nouns from verbs: (2) * Adjectives from verbs: ), -able this suffix is the most productive of the others. Here the adjectives are formed from verbs as in comfortable, touchable.

That's mean infixing is less common than suffixing and prefixing across the world's language. Moreover, you can find it in other languages for instance, Philippine language tagalog in some example.
