  1. Kokopelli’s Flute By Will Hobbs This book focuses on a kid named Tepary who keeps turning into a mouse at night. This happened when Tepary traveled to a place called the picture house and played a flute he found on the floor. The flute belonged to a man named Kokopelli but Tepary didn’t know it. He traveled there to find secrets about ancient legends, and to observe an eclipse. In the story he figured he couldn’t control himself when he became a mouse! He finally figured out a way to control himself by scurrying all over the place, but he also learns danger lurks everywhere as a mouse. Sometimes he almost dies as a mouse, but he acted brave and took lots of chances to survive. I like the end of the book best. Tepary finally finds a way to become a human again, then discovers his mom became sick. To save her life, Tepary needed to play the flute again to turn back into a mouse in order to steal medicine. I thought Tepary wouldn’t take a chance to turn into a mouse because he might not be able to turn back into a human, but he did take the chance. In the story he turned back into a human and sprinted home to save her. At the end of the story, Tepary finds out the flute belonged to Kokopelli.Kokopelli watched over Tepary and his family in many different ways throughout the story because the magical flute belonged to him. I would recommend this book to others because it I enjoyed it so much and wanted to read it again and again. By …
