Future Products/Services • Face-to-face with users • Conferences • NCDC hosting a NOAA Data and Information for a Changing Climate – a Conference for Public and Private Sector Users Nov 5-6, 2007 • Target areas: insurance, transportation, energy • 165 registered • will address • challenges and opportunities relating to changing climate for business and government, • the current state of scientific understanding about climate change, and • emerging data and information needs for a changing climate versus a stable one. • During working group sessions organized by sector, attendees will • work with NOAA scientists to identify climate information requirements of their particular sector, • explore NOAA’s capabilities to meet those requirements, and • develop recommendations that NOAA should consider in near-term and long-term planning to leverage and enhance its capabilities.
