Learning Objectives Workshop Information>Pedagogical Approach • Learn how electrical potentials are generated in cells • Learn some techniques for modeling electrical activity • Learn to function on interdisciplinary teams • Investigate some research problems • Meet new people and have some fun!

Specific Learning Objectives Workshop Information>Pedagogical Approach • Understand cardiac cells as an example of an excitable system • Learn various models of electrical activity in cardiac cells • Learn some basic analytic techniques for analysing the models • Learn to use the CUDA architecture with NVIDIA graphics cards to program models on multi-processing systems • Investigate the development of spiral waves in cardiac tissue using Fenton’s minimal model in the CUDA-based architecture
