  2. Bell ringerNovember 25, 2013 Cole Porter is one of the best-known American song composers. He began composing as a teenager. Although he went to college and law school, he never stopped composing. While he was in school, several of his songs were performed in Broadway musicals. His musical style gained him many fans and earned him distinction as a composer. As an adult, a horseback-riding accident left him needing a wheelchair. His musical passion was not dampened, however, and he continued to compose hundreds of popular show tunes.What is the best summary of the passage?  a. Cole Porter had a distinctive musical style that people liked. He composed many show tunes.  b. Cole Porter went to college and to law school and continued to compose songs. c. Franklin did not realize that Luke Ryan, the captain of the ship he hired, was actually a pirate. Even though Ryan caused chaos within British shipping, he captured few prisoners.  Franklin's plan was creative, but not very effective.  Which is the best summary of the passage?  • a.
