  7. Finding a missing word

  8. Finding a missing word • The real adventure began! We packed our gear in Kayaks and left civilization behind. It was a beautiful day, and the water was cold. Kayaking was hard since we had no experience at paddling. It took us six hours to travel eight kilometers. We struggled all day, and we were relieved when we stopped. We are in a part of Canada that's almost untouched by humans. It's amazing to see unspoiled nature. We are all excited about that.

  9. Finding a missing sentence

  10. Finding a missing sentence • Even at this early stage of our trip, we've been noticing changes in ourselves. Our confidence is growing daily, and our decision-making and survival skills are improving. We're learning so much about living in the wilderness: how to build fires, how to go to the bathroom in the woods, and how to wash dishes with pine cones. Tomorrow we will paddle to Palmer Creek and finally see all kinds of insects at the creek for ourselves. Needless to say, it is totally exciting to be on the expedition.
