Enhancing SDL Education in Universities: A Survey Overview

This survey introduces key findings regarding the adoption and implementation of Structured Design Language (SDL) teaching across various universities that are part of the SDL Forum. Leading institutions, including TU Kaiserslautern, University of Texas Dallas, and University of Ottawa, are spotlighted for their SDL offerings. The research emphasizes the need for universities to broaden SDL programs beyond conventional protocol engineering and advocates for greater public awareness regarding SDL activities. Ultimately, the goal is to foster a more integrated approach to SDL education within academic curricula globally.

  6. Conclusions • Universities need to be encouraged to introduce broader programmes of SDL teaching and not confine its use to that of protocol engineering. • Those Universities that teach SDL should be encouraged to publicise their activities.
