  2. Star charetericties Sunspots are slightlycoolerthan the area aroundthem. Solar flares are arches of hot gases erupt off the Sun’s surface. Auroras are gases that mix with the atmosphere making different colored gases. The color of a star is how warm it is so blue is the hottest and red is the warmest so color is temp.

  3. Our star, the Sun • The Sun is the brightest object in the sky. The Sun is bigger than any other object in the Solar System. On the Sun’s surface gases boil and pop storms rage across it’s surface. Like all stars, it’s a ball of hot glowing gases. Bright arches of hot glowing gases erupt from the Sun’s surface.
