  2. About Me • Started gaming in mid-2000s • Inspired by game design in 2010 • Started attending CGDC in 2011 • Joined the Game Artisans of Canada in 2013 as a Journeyman • Launched Hand in Hand Kickstarter Project on June 18, 2013

  3. About International China Concern • Founded in 1993 to give love, hope and opportunity to every abandoned and disabled child in China • More than 4,000 children have been impacted through the work of ICC • Full time care facilities in Changsha, Hengyang and Sanmenxia

  4. Hand in Hand • Encourage engagement on the topic of abandonment and disabilities & promote child sponsorship through ICC • A bridge between languages, cultures, and levels of ability through play • Teaching the values of inclusion, the importance of compassion, and giving hope

  5. Kickstarter Progress • $3,000+ of $5,000 Goal • Funding deadline - Thursday Jul 18 • Stretch Goals • $10,000: Collectible character cards • $15,000: Double the print run: Backers may send the additional copy to the kids in our care

  6. Lessons Learned • TELL EVERYONE • Keep an eye on your progress, but watch out for emotional roller coasters • Weekends can be tough • Set a realistic goal
