Risk Management • The process of measuring or assessing risk and then developing strategies to manage the risk • Questions to consider • What could possibly go wrong? • How could it happen? • What action could we take to prevent it happening?

Risk Management Practices for Coaches • Adequate supervision • Proper instruction • Sound planning • Warning of dangers • Provide safe environment • Teach rules of sport (especially safety) • Evaluate athletes for injuries of limitations • Group athletes properly • Ensure counselling and info on drug use is available • Keep up to date with current practices in coaching • Supply appropriate first aid
