  1. Lydia Bennet Amy Searle, and Kristyn Price

  2. Appearance Lydia was a stout, well-grown girl of fifteen, with a fine complexion and good-humoured personality; a favourite with her mother, whose affection had brought her into public at an early age. She had high animal spirits, and a sort of natural self-consequence, which the attentions of the officers she was quickly able to gain.

  3. Personality Lydia is self-willed and careless, and her and her sister, Kitty are together ignorant, idle, and vain. She finds joy in going to town to see the officers, and is the most flirtatious and bold of the sisters. Even when married, Lydia is much the same; untamed, unabashed, wild, noisy, and fearless. The youngest Bennet sister, gossipy, immature, self-involved, spoilt, and accustomed to getting her own way. The main activity in Lydia’s life is socialising.

  4. Relationships Lydia is Mrs Bennet’s favourite daughter, and is openly spoilt by her Mr Bennet believes that his youngest daughter is silly, immature and wants her to grow up Elizabeth feels much the same as her father, believing that if Lydia does not change her ways now, she will forever be flirtatious and ignorant. Lydia and Mr Wickham elope, and while Lydia was “crazy” about Wickham, he married her for different reasons.

  5. Quotes Her character will be fixed, and she will, at sixteen, be the most determined flirt that ever made herself and her family ridiculous. A flirt, too, in the worst and meanest degree of flirtation; without any attraction beyond youth and a tolerable person; and from the ignorance and emptiness of her mind, wholly unable to ward off any portion of that universal contempt which her rage for admiration will excite. In this danger Kitty is also comprehended. She will follow wherever Lydia leads. -- Vain, ignorant, idle, and absolutely uncontrolled!
