  2. Prof. Tahira Reid • Teaches in the Design area, directs an interdisciplinary design lab • Her “other” discipline is psychology! She works with perceptions and judgments in the product design process. • She has been an inventor since childhood and has appeared on NBC’s “Today Show” to demonstrate one of her early patents—for a “Double Dutch” jump rope! • That same invention led to a national grant—and there’s more to come.
