I will present all the elements of my research, on-going ideas and project development, and also the completion of practical tasks (Unit 8 AC3.2)

Alex Almieda INTRODUCTION • I decide on doing a campaign about healthy eating because I have gone though the struggle of changing from unhealthy to healthy and I want to help other people improve themselves. I could help people lives by doing this campaign. • The research has helped me a lot it has given me confidence in my campaign idea and has given me some good facts to include in the campaign. • I'm primarily focusing on a health and wellbeing campaign this health campaign is about healthy eating and the help of reaching a goal. • My first idea was about climate change then I decided to change it to healthy eating because it was something I could relate to in life.

Alex Almieda Checklist for analysing campaigns • Choose one campaign that you really like and then prepare your own illustrated report that identifies: what the campaign is about • Describe the mediums (i.e. moving image : TV or internet, print, audio : radio) the campaign organisers have used to conduct their campaign. • Your illustrated report should be added into this multi-media PowerPoint. The finished document should be well-focused and wide-ranging. You should: • use a range of research techniques • ensure that your work is accurate • Reference a range of examples to illustrate your report • draw relevant conclusions. Use the ‘P’ drive resources to explain your primary research and contribution in a campaign to promote work skills

  11. Alex Almieda Campaign research findings You are aiming to produce well-focused and wide-ranging investigations that result in a good quantity of highly relevant materials. In order to achieve this you must think carefully about your choice of campaigns. You should look at a diverse range of campaigns that cover issues, advertising and promotion. You will be able to compare and contrast these and comment on how they use appropriate mediums. Your descriptions of the campaigns must be well detailed and show that you have fully explored the nature and purpose of each campaign. You should present examples in a way that shows you have understood the nature and purpose of each campaign. These could be annotated to show that you have understood the different elements that make up the campaign content. What is the target audience for the campaign? What is the main message of the campaign? What methods have been used in the campaign? Was the campaign successful?

This might be a campaign for something you are passionate about or it might be about a local issue. • Campaign Video: • Make a list of the kind of campaigns that you would like to conduct • Pre-pitch Focus Group: Present your list with your group • Pre-pitch Focus Group: decide which of your ideas would be the most appropriate • Pre-pitch Focus Group: List the resources you need to have available to conduct your campaign • Complete the pre-production paperwork forms needed for an effective campaign

Work Title: healthy eating Estimated Duration: 30seconds-1min Target Audience: Young People Synopsis: I intend on making my advertisement appeal to a youthful audience more than before; with an environment that sends the necessary messages across to the audience. The advertisement will most likely have popular music and other visual features that appeal to youths.

You now have to put these plans into action. • On your own or in a small group: • make sure that all the resources you have produced are finished meet with your group or the people who are helping you • confirm who is doing what and when they are doing it • keep a personal diary recording all the things you do during the campaign • conduct the campaign • make sure that you monitor the campaign and make any changes as necessary.

  21. Alex Almieda • Organising your Resources • You will have to be organised when you start your campaign. • Below is an example of a chart, use this to log the resources and materials used. • Demonstrate that you have been organised.

You will need to be sure that you have all the materials you need when the campaign starts and for the smooth running of the campaign. Using an audit form such as the one below will help to ensure that you have everything you need, when you need it. You will be able to demonstrate your independent skills in conducting a campaign by completing all the relevant documentation. Careful completion, with identification of your own work, will provide clear evidence of your contribution to the campaign. Can you design a campaign logo to use ?

  23. Alex Almieda Making and maintaining contacts It is essential that you make contact with people who can help with your campaign. You will need to maintain this contact during and after the campaign. You could produce your own Producer’s Handbook that includes all your contacts and contact details, set out on a page like the one below.

You will need to be sure that you have all the materials you need when the campaign starts and for the smooth running of the campaign. To do this you could show your campaign materials to a sample of the audience and ask for their comments. You could do this in the form of a focus group or interviews, using a record card like the one below to record people’s views.
