  2. What is Career Cruising? • It is an internet-based career exploration and planning tool. • It is used by students to explore career and college options. • It helps students develop a career plan. • It can be accessed from school or home!

  4. Why use Career Cruising? • Students across Kentucky are now required to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). • The ILP is completed by using Career Cruising • It begins in 6th grade and continues through high school • You can even use it throughout college! ILP

  5. Begin Career Cruising by... • Going to: www.careercruising.com/ilp • Type your ten-digituser name and six-digit password provided by your teacher • Click Log In

  7. 8th Grade ILP Homepage Check My Progress to see how to get to 100%.

What are the ILP requirements for 8th graders in Career Cruising? • Career Matchmaker (Complete a New Matchmaker Session) • My Skills • Learning Styles • Careers that Interest Me (SAVE at least 4 to your ILP!!) • Schools that Interest Me (SAVE at least 2 schools to your ILP!!) • Career & Life Goals • Career Cluster Interests • Post-Secondary Goals • Career Planning Activities • Organizations & Activities • Community Service • Course of Study: 9th Grade • Annual ILP Review (teacher completes with you then YOU complete after you are at 83%) • Annual Student Survey (complete last to reach 100%)
