SENRLG Pilot Approach • Assessment Approach: Look across the Southeast: • 1) Identify natural resources likely to be impacted by climate change. • 2) Identify the programmatic resources, goals and objectives of agency programs. • 3) Create tools to coordinate the science and services identified in 1 and 2 above. • Assess the natural resources and climate impacts that can benefit from SENRLG partners' direct attention. • 5) Prioritize locations under the purview of SENRLG Agencies that are likely to be impacted by climate change.

Climate Change Primary Ecosystem Impacts • Mountains • Extreme Precipitation: increase in amount and timing of precipitation • Piedmont • Drought: increase in long or short-term precipitation deficit, leading to a lack of water supply. • Coast • Sea Level Rise: increased sea level due to thermal expansion and global ice-melt. *Definitions from IPCC 4th Assessment Report
