The Tana River Co-ordination Team has developed a comprehensive preparedness plan identifying eleven hotspots across three districts: Tana North, Tana River, and Tana Delta. This plan includes pre-hospital and hospital set-up protocols, communication strategies, and emergency service liaisons. Key activities encompass referrals, medical supply management, staff mobilization, disease surveillance, nutrition assessments, psycho-social support, and reproductive health services for victims during mass displacement. Collaboration with organizations like Kenya Red Cross, MSF, and Saint John Ambulance is integral to the plan’s success.
