The Minnesota Community Preparedness and Response Plan for Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) outlines vital strategies to combat the expected impacts of EAB on urban forests. This plan details actions for administrators, staff, and residents to preserve tree health, manage tree diversity, and coordinate costs effectively. Key elements include an Ash Management Plan, monitoring techniques, resource identification, community outreach, and adherence to local and state regulations. Through proactive measures and collaborative efforts, communities can mitigate the effects of EAB and safeguard their green spaces.

Ash Management Plan • Determine how a community will manage the loss of a significant number of trees • Plan for tree diversity to increase resiliency to future pests
How is EAB detected? • Purple Traps • Tree Sampling
How is EAB detected? • Visual Survey • Citizen Reports
Monitoring and Reporting Do I have EAB Checklist? Contact Arrest-the-Pest Hotline Confirmation of new infestations
