  2. SQUARE LAWN X X2 = area Area =64m2 The square root of 64 is 8 X=8 It equals 8 because all the sides on a square are the same and because it has to equal 64m2 then it would have to equal 8 because the square root of 64 is 8.

  3. RECTANGLE LAWN L 1:W=1m L=64m 2:W=2m L=32m 3:W=4m L=16m 4:W=5m L=12.8m 5:W=10m L=6.4m W The equations above are the five different ways to set the lawn to get an area of 64m2. I divided the length of the lawn which is 64m by the width and that gave me the length of the lawn.

  4. TRIANGULAR LAWN 64m2=b×h 1: 2×64 2: 16×8 3: 32×4 4: 128×1 5: 12.5×10 2 h 128=b×h b Up above are the five ways to get an area of 64m2 in a triangle. I divided b×h dived by 2 which equals 64m2 and that equalled 128 so then I thought of all the multiples of 128 and that got the five solutions.

  5. CIRCULAR LAWN Square root of 64m2 =8 8÷pie=4.5 Radius=4.5 r 5 different lawns have an area of 64m2 because that is how many numbers go into 64. So the radius of those circles would either have to be 1, 2, 8, 16 and 32.

  6. L-SHAPED LAWN L 3 squares of length equal up this shape. 64÷3= 21 Square root of 21=7 L L L I divided the L-shape into 3 squares from there i divided 64 by 3 which equalled 21 and the square root of that is 7 so the answer was 7.

  7. PARALLELOGRAM W The area of the parallelogram is 64m2 and to get the area you have to multiply length times width. There are many different ways you could get this here are some: L 1. 64×1 4. 10×6.4 2. 32×2 5. 7×9.1 3. 16×8
