  2. Problem #4 • Time required to fill Reser Stadium with a fire hose (assuming no leaking or seeping during the process).

  4. Method/approach • Estimate volume of Reser Stadium (took volume of football field and increased number to account for bleacher area) • Estimate volume of water that comes out of a fire hose per second

  5. Assumptions • The volume of Reser stadium is somewhere around 6 million cubic feet. • The water would overflow at the lowest end of the stadium (estimated at 5 stories). • A fire hose spits out water at around 3 cubic feet per second

  6. Solution • Football field volume: • 120 *3 = 360 • 55*3 = 165 • (50*360*165) + C = ~ 27 days
