KU activity – OPTIMIX year 3 WP1: Contribution to D1.5 • Participation and presentation of OPTIMIX results in several conferences: (ICT FN & Mobile Summit 2010, IEEE ISPWC 2010, IEEE SPAWC 2010, 3DTV-Con.2010, IEEE ICIP 2010 , 25th WWRF 2010, IEEE VTC Spring 2011 , IEEE ICME 2011 (two papers) • Participation in the organisation of the VTC 2011 OPTIMIX workshop • Organisation of journal special issues in OPTIMIX area (e.g., IEEE JSAC SI on QoE-aware wireless multimedia) WP2: Contributions to D2.1c and D2.3c • 2D/3D video quality assessment, including reduced-reference quality metric for 3D video • Cross-layer frame synchronization for H.264 video over WiMAX • Cross-layer Content/Channel Aware Multi-User Scheduling for Downlink Wireless Video Streaming (BS cont.) WP3: Contributions to D3.2c/final deliverable • Prioritized 3D video distribution over IEEE 802.11e • Analysis of cross-layer design based on UDP-Lite for H.264 video transmission (presented in D4.3 together with relevant simulation results) WP4: Contributions to D4.1a and D4.3 • Design and organisation of subjective quality assessment tests • Subjective quality assessment tests for AVC scenarios (both for demonstrator and simulation platform) • Objective quality assessment with SSIM metric • Analysis of the results of subjective tests and SSIM metric
