In August 2007, Savannah-Chatham County Schools received the fourth ESPLOST payment totaling $5,292,731.43 from May collections, bringing the total to $24,107,940.79. An important G.O. Bond debt payment of approximately $12 million is due on August 1, 2007. URS, in association with Pat Mathis, was chosen for project management on July 11, with an aim to open three new schools by Fall 2009. Updates include ongoing construction at Woodville-Tompkins and adjustments in project timelines due to low bid response.
