  2. Location Chad is a country located in central Africa Being in central Chad is a land-locked country. North to Chad is Libya, south to Chad is Central African Republic, East to Chad is Sudan, and West to Chad is Niger. Chad’s area is 495,753 sq. miles, which is about 3x the size of California. Chad is located at longitude 12’06 north and longitude 15’02 east.

  3. Region Chad does not have any main bodies of water, nor oceans. Chad has small lakes and ponds like every country would. Chad is a equal split half dry and half wet country. Chad is land-locked in the center of Africa by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, Central African republic to the south, and Niger to the west. Chad has more than 200 ethnic groups which include, Muslim, Arabs, Toubou, Hadjerai, Fulbe, Kotoko, Kanembou, Baguirmi, Boulala, Zaghawa, Maba, Salamat, Tauhdjor, Fulam, Ngambaye, Mbaye, Goulaye, Moundage, Moussie, and Massa.

  4. Human- Environment Interactions Climate Chad is more a desert zone in the north and more a fertile zone in the south. But, due to Chad’s distance from the sea it’s largely a desert climate. The wet season in the north is May- October. The wet season in the south is June- September. Human Interactions Chad roughly has an estimated 700,00 people. With Chad’s insufficient supplies of portable water, improper waste disposal in rural area’s contribute to soil and water pollution. Currently 80% of Chad’s people live below the poverty line. In the south is 10% if Chad’s most fertile land. The climate doesn’t seem to effect daily lives, jobs, house, ect. Because the climate is mostly the same everywhere threw out Chad.

  5. Place The key physical features of Chad are that it is a land locked country. Chad boarders on very different parts of the African continent. Ninety percent of Chad’s population live in the southern part. The key natural resources of Chad are petroleum, uranium, natron, kaolin, fish, gold, limestone, sand, gravel, and salt.

  6. Movement of goods and people The chief export of Chad is oil. Chad exports 157,000 barrels of oil a day. Cotton is the second chief export. Cattle is Chad’s third chief export. Chad’s chief import is textile machinery. Chad’s other chief import is consumer goods. Chad originally belonged to France. Chad is not a popular tourist destination because of the heat and lack of medical preparations. Chad was a very popular travel destination in the past, but is now a grim travel place.
