Posted Bus Rules. Area 2 DRT Yamel Arronte (aka: the bus teacher). #1 Do not approach a moving bus. Stand off roadway while waiting on bus. #2 Sit facing forward. Keep your seat at all times while bus is moving. #3 Don’t throw things out window. Keep arms and head inside window.

  2. #1 Do not approach a moving bus • Stand off roadway while waiting on bus.

  3. #2 Sit facing forward • Keep your seat at all times while bus is moving

  4. #3 Don’t throw things out window • Keep arms and head inside window

  5. #4 Never stand behind bus • Walk ten feet in front of bus. Wait for driver to signal before crossing road.

  6. #5 Level 1 Media Center Behavior • Unnecessary conversation with driver is dangerous. Please remain quiet.

  7. #6 This is not a pep rally • classroom conduct is to be observed.

  8. #7 It’s the law to stop and listen • Absolute silence is required at all railroad crossings

  9. #8 The bus driver is the captain • The driver is in full charge of bus and pupils. Pupils must obey the driver.

  10. #9 Bus driver has authority • The driver has right to assign pupil to certain seat if necessary to promote order on bus.

  11. #10 Keep bus clean • No eating, drinking or smoking allowed on bus.

  12. #11 Be at stop 5 minutes before pick up • Pupils must be on time; the bus cannot wait for those who are tardy

  13. #12 Poor behavior will be reported • Riding the bus is a privilege. Do not abuse it.

Works with Administration, Guidance, Behavior Specialist, SRO & Parents.
