Safety precautions • Make sure you and your family have a tornado plan. • Go into a room or basement with no windows. • If you do not have a basement, go into a bathroom, closet or room in the middle of your house. • If your in a car or on a bike ( ect.), don’t try to out run the storm. Go into a low space or ditch and lay flat on the ground.
Survivor testimony • HI I am Luke one day it was hot and humid . Then it got windy then cloudy. Then the clouds stated to spin. I told my parents and then we went to the stair case . Then it hit it felt like 110 speed winds. Bricks hitting us the roof fell then it was over. We crawled out a hole we were safe.
Weather conditions • Tornados are created by warm air and cold are that goes up and down which then makes a funnel cloud, then when the funnel cloud (that’s created by warm and cold air) touches the ground the tornado starts. • Tornados can destroy land and houses, and if something like a car goes into a Tornado it shout out really far! • Tornados usually effect 600 feet of land but some Tornados are different, so you never know how much it will effect. • If you live in a mobile home or a trailer home and a tornado is coming go to a neibers house and ask them if you can stay in there then go in a space or a concrete room and cover yourself so you don’t get hit by debrie and don’t worry if you see dust swirling around those are called dust devils.
