ESO Workshops 2006: Selected Proposals for Scientific Research

In 2006, the ESO committee, including Gilmozzi, Mirabel, and Shaver, selected several workshops aimed at advancing astronomical research. The chosen topics are: "Observing Planetary Systems" hosted in Santiago by Dumas and Sterzik; "Science with the VLT in the ELT era" by Moorwood et al.; "Type II AGN at all epochs" by DeBreuck, Fosbury, and Vernet; and "Star Clusters and Star Formation" by Wilson and Kissler-Patig. Fellowship announcements for this year are accessible online. Selection processes for studentships are currently ongoing, with notifications expected soon.
