Overview • Duration: 4 years • Start date: 1st February 2013 • End date: 31st January 2017 • Total contribution: 1 249 027,00 EUR European Industrial Doctorates (EID):only two participants are needed: one academic participant (CERN) and one participant from the private sector (INTEL). However, one of the conditions is that the researcher will have to be enrolled in a doctoral programme of the academic participant. The researcher will also spend at least 50 % of his/her time within the private sector. • Early-Stage researchers: - 5 researchers - 180 months ICE-DIP Kick-off meeting – 19.02.2013

Col.1 & 2: Monthly Living and Mobility Allowance CERN only • Gross salarypaiddirectly to the researchers • Determinedatrecruitment date - will not change during the contract life • Correction factor of the host organizationwillapply on bothmonthlyliving and mobilityallowance(SeeWorkProgramme 2012) • This allowanceis the minimum value paid(mandatory !) Col.1 & 2: Monthly Living and Mobility Allowance • Monthly living allowance (col. 1) • Monthly mobility allowance (col. 2) No family base rate: 700 € / month Family  base rate: 1000 € / month • Consortium’s budget  Average used on official budget: 850 € CERN only ICE-DIP Kick-off meeting – 19.02.2013

Col.3: Contribution to the research/training transfer of knowledge programme expenses • Fixed contribution: 1200 EUR per researcher-month What for? • Participation of eligible researchers to training activities • Research costs, organization of conferences, conference attendance etc. • Co-ordination between participants including network meetings, including travel of researchers’ supervisors.   8. Col.3: Contribution to the research/training transfer of knowledge programme expenses • The costs of the Associated Partners can be reimbursed through invoices to the beneficiaries. The cost of the invoice paid by the beneficiaries is then covered by the EU contribution under the cost category relevant for the activity/ies carried out by the Associated Partner (col.3). • Associatedpartnerwillinvoice CERN as a normal supplier. CERN shallcreate a properorder, as anyotherpurchase. • In case Intel has to support costs, a transfer of budget wouldbedonefrom CERN to Intel. Intel shall not invoiceCERN (beneficiariescannotinvoiceeachother), but simplydeclare the coststo the coordinator. ICE-DIP Kick-off meeting – 19.02.2013

Col.4 & 5: Management activities and overheads • Management activities (col. 4) • Maximum 10% of total Contribution • Real costs (not a flat rate) • Used to covercosts for managing the project (coordinator) • Overheads (col. 5) • 10% of the direct eligiblecosts (exceptsubcontracting) ICE-DIP Kick-off meeting – 19.02.2013

  10. Financial reporting to EC • When ? • 1st reporting period: February 2013 – January 2015 • 2nd reporting period: February 2015 – January 2017 • CERN willsubmit the coststatement to the EC • Intel willsubmita coststatementat 0€ to the EC (to beconfirmed) ICE-DIP Kick-off meeting – 19.02.2013
