  4. Participating countries • Programme Countries • EU Member States • EFTA/EEA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) • Candidate countries (TR)

  5. Partner countries • Countries integrated in the neighbourhood policy • Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan,Armenia, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestinian Authorities, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco.

  6. Target groups: • Young people between 13-30 years • Structures and persons involved in youth work • Youth policy actors and administrations

  7. AGE BRAKETS 13 to 30 years • Youth exchanges 13-25 (exception 25 – 30) • Youth initiatives 18-30 (exception 16 – 17) • Youth Democracy Projects 13-30 • EVS 18-30

  8. 4 Priorities of the Programme • European citizenship • Participation of young people • Cultural Diversity • Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities

  9. The Role of the National Agency Our role is to guide users of the Programme through all phases from the first contact with the Programme through the application process to the realisation of the project and the final evaluation

  10. Action 1 - Youth for Europe Action 1 is divided in 3 sub actions: 1.1. Youth exchanges 1.2. Youth Initiatives 1.3. Youth Democracy Projects

Action 1.1: Youth Exchanges • Similar scheme to that under the Youth Programme (min. 16 & max. 60 participants) • Focus on advance planning visit • Focus on child protection • Priority for multilateral youth exchanges (at least 4 participants per partner group) • Duration of activity between 6 – 21 days • Whole project may last up to 15 months(preparation, implementation, evaluation)

Action 1.2: Youth Initiatives • National Youth Initiatives – projects developed by a single group in their country of residence • Transnational Youth Initiatives – projects realised in common by two or more groups from different countries • Coaching – a resource person who remains outside the Youth Initiative but supports the group

Action 1.3: Youth Democracy Projects National or Transnational networking for the exchange and dissemination of good practice in the field of youth participation Projects can for example aim at: • Developing dialogue between youths and authorities • Support measures to bring young people closer to political decision-making • Fostering mechanism to encourage young people to participate in decision-making processes Transnational Networking – partnerships of at least 2 different countries National Networking - partnership of at least 2 different partners in the country.

  14. Action 2 - European Voluntary Service 2.1. European Voluntary Service (individual) 2.2. European Voluntary service (groups)

Action 2: European Voluntary Service • Individual EVS activity: one volunteer, one sending organisation, one hosting organisation • Group EVS activity: up to 100 volunteers to participate in the same host organisation or split up in smaller sub-groups or in different host organsations • Duration of Activity between 2 months and 12 months • EVS could be carried out in Programme Countries or Partner Countries of the World (Africa, Caribbean, Pacific, Latin America, Asia)

  16. Action 3 - Youth in the World 3.1. Cooperation with the neighbouring countries of the enlarged Europe 3.2. Cooperation with countries not covered by the neighbouring policy

Cooperation with the neighbouring countries of the enlarged Europe • Type of activities allowed in measure 3.1: • Youth exchanges + Youth initiatives • Training and Networking Projects • Aims • Intercultural Awareness • Post-conflict resolution and reconstruction • Regional Cooperation

  18. Action 3 - Youth in the World • 3.2. Cooperation with other countries of the world • Annual Calls for proposals • Priority given to projects involving countries from Latin America, Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific, and Asia

  19. Action 4 - Youth support systems 4.1. Support for bodies active at European level in the field of youth 4.2. Support for the European Youth Forum 4.3. Training and networking of youth workers 4.4. Projects encouraging innovation and quality 4.5. Information activities for young people and youth workers 4.6. Partnerships 4.7 Support for the structures of the programme 4.8 Adding to the value of the programme

  20. Action 4 - Youth support systems • 4.1. Support for bodies active at European level in the field of youth This sub-Action offers financial support to NGOs active at European Level. These NGOs should be based in one Programme Country and have member branches in 8 Programme Countries Annual Call for Proposals

Training and networking of youth workers Eligible Activities: • Job Shadowing (at least 2 partners, involving at least 2 countries) • Feasibility Visits (at least 2 partners, involving at least 2 countries) • Evaluation meetings (at least 4 partners, involving at least 4 countries) • Study visits (at least 4 partners, involving at least 4 countries) • Partnership – building activities (at least 4 partners, involving at least 4 countries) • Seminars (at least 4 partners, involving at least 4 countries) • Training Courses (at least 4 partners, involving at least 4 countries) • Networking (at least 6 partners, involving at least 6 countries)

  22. Action 4 - Youth support systems 4.4. Projects encouraging innovation and quality Annual Call for Proposals Projects targeting the introduction, implementation and promotion of innovative and qualitative elements in non-formal education and youth work

  23. Action 5 - Support for policy cooperation 5.1 Meetings of young people and those responsible for youth policy 5.2. Support for activities to bring about better understanding and knowledge of the field of youth 5.3. Co-operation with international organisations

Action 5 - Support for policy cooperation 5.1 Meetings of young people and those responsible for youth policy • Youth seminars (60 participants age between 16 to 30, involving 5 programme countries) • Youth Presidency Seminars (60 participants age between 16 to 30 linked to specific priorities)

  25. Deadlines • 1st February – 1st May till 30th September • 1st April – 1st July till 30th November • 1st June – 1st September till 31st January • 1st September – 1st December till 30th April • 1st November – 1st February till 31st July
