  1. Start Something ™ Volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters! • We are looking for mentors to be matched with high-risk children around the Utah County area. The children are between the ages of 6 and 18. Read on to learn more about the specifics of the program. • CONTACT: • Kristen Berrett • 801-743-1680 • kristen.berrett@bbbsu.org

  2. Start Something ™ Our Programs Both programs require a 12-month commitment! Community Based: Bigs meet with their Littles 2-4 times a month at a convenient time and share activities such as watching a movie, tossing a football, baking cookies, or whatever else might be a fun way to spend some time together! These Bigs must be over 18. Site Based: Bigs meet with their Littles at their school or other site at the same day & time each week for one hour. The Bigs help their little brothers and sisters with homework, play board games, make crafts, and play sports together. These matches do not meet outside of the school or site.

  3. Start Something ™ Can you start in School Based and switch to Community Based? • If you are over 18, and it’s approved through the agency, YES! • You must go through a reassessment interview, and have another reference checked. • The child and parent must agree and be reassessed as well. • It may depend on how long you have been matched and how long you plan on continuing in the community based program.
