  2. Sports Robert Lewandowski He was born 21 August 1988. He is a Polish footballer who plays for German club Borussia Dortmund and the Poland national football team as a striker. Having previously played for Delta Warsaw, Legia Warsaw, Znicz Pruszków and Lech Poznań, he joined Borussia in 2010. Adam Małysz He was born in 3 December 1977. He is a former Polish ski jumper, one of the most successful ski jumpers in the history of the sport.

  3. Agnieszka Radwańska She was born 6 March 1989. She is a Polish professional tennis player. As of 15 April 2013, she is ranked world no. 4. Known for constructing points and making intelligent use of the court, she has won twelve career singles titles. Robert Kubica He was born 7 December 1984. He is a Polish racing driver. Between 2006 and 2009 he drove for the BMW Sauber F1 team, promoted from test driver to race driver during 2006. In June 2008, Kubica took his maiden F1 victory in the Canadian Grand Prix, becoming the 99th driver to win a World Championship race.

Science Maria Skłodowska Curie She was born 7 November 1867 and died 4 July 1934.She was a Polish physicist and chemist, working mainly in France, who is famous for her pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the only woman to win in two fields, and the only person to win in multiple sciences. She was also the first female professor at the University of Paris (La Sorbonne), and in 1995 became the first woman to be entombed on her own merits in Paris' Panthéon. MikołajKopernik He was born 19 February 1473 and died 24 May 1543. He was a Renaissance mathematician and astronomer who formulated a heliocentric model of the universe which placed the Sun, rather than the Earth, at the center.

In 1967 he was awarded second place in the VI National Contest of Student Musicians and also received an award for Tango Anawa, with lyrics by him. Fryderyk Chopin He was born 1 March1810 and died 17 October 1849.He was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist. He is widely considered one of the greatest Romantic piano composers. KamilBednarek He was born 10 may1991. He is Polish musician, composer, singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. In 2008-2012, the singer formation Star Guard Muffin. Since 2012 he has been performing in the band's signature of his name.

  6. Dżem Polish blues-rock band. Ryszard Riedel, one of the most famous Polish vocalists, worked with the band. The band's name comes from English word jam (session) which has the same pronunciation as the Polish word "dżem", which means "jam" in the sense of a fruit preserve. The band's original name was "Jam" but before one of their concerts a woman made a mistake when she wrote their name, writing "Dżem". Afromental Polish music group operating since 2004, performing music from the border of funk, reggae, R & B, hip-hop and soul.

Heis a popular Polish actor known for his comedy roles in movies. In addition to his work as a movie actor. Pazura is also a stand-up comedian and a popular voice actor. He provided voice for movies dubbed in Polish including Lady and the Tramp (as the Tramp), Ice Age (as Sid), Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre (as Nubernaibs).

  8. JakubGierszał He was born in 20 march1988. He is polish actor. He debuted in 2009, playing in the film Kazik „All that I love”. Popularity brought his film „Suicide Room”, in which he played the character of Dominic, a high school student from a wealthy family. MałgorzataKożuchowska She was born in 27 April 1972. She is best known as Hanna Mostowiak in the very popular Polish television serial, M jakmiłość. PiotrAdamczyk He was born in 21 march 1972.He playedKarol Wojtyła, who later became Pope John Paul II, in the movie Karol: A Man Who Became Pope and Karol: The Pope, The Man.

Historians JózefPiłsudski He was born in 5 December 1867 and died 12 May 1935.He was a Polish statesman—Chief of State (1918–22), "First Marshal" (from 1920), and leader (1926–35) of the Second Polish Republic. From mid-World War I he had a major influence in Poland's politics, and was an important figure on the European political scene. TadeuszKościuszko He was born in 4 february1746 and died 15 october 1819. He is a national hero of Poland, Belarus, Lithuania and the United States and fought in the American Revolution and the Polish uprising against Russia.

  10. Stanisław August Poniatowski He was born in 17 January 1732 and died 12 February 1798. He was the last King and Grand Duke of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. He remains a controversial figure in Polish history. Recognized as a great patron of the arts and sciences and a supporter of progressive reforms, he is also remembered as the last king of the Commonwealth, the one who failed to prevent its destruction. Jan Paweł II He was born in 18 may 1920 and died 2 april 2005. Sometimes called Blessed John Paul or John Paul the Great. He was reigned as Pope of the Catholic Church from 1978 until his death in 2005. He was the second-longest serving Pope in history and the first non-Italian since 1523.

  11. Lech Wałęsa He was born 29 September 1943. He is a Polish politician, trade-union organizer, and human-rights activist. A charismatic leader, he co-founded Solidarity (Solidarność), the Soviet bloc's first independent trade union, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983, and served as President of Poland between 1990 and 1995.

He was a Polish Renaissance poet who established poetic patterns that would become integral to the Polish literary language. Adam Mickiewicz He ws born in 24 December 1798 and died 26 November 1855. He was a Polish national poet, translator, publicist and political writer. A prime representative of the Polish Romantic period, he is one of that country's Three Bards and the greatest poet in all Polish literature. He is also considered one of the greatest Slavic and European poets. He was a leading Romantic dramatist and has been compared in Poland and in Europe to Byron and Goethe.

  13. WisławaSzymborska She was born in 2 July 1923 and died 1 February 2012. She was a Polish poet, translator and recipient of the 1996 Nobel Prize in Literature. Henryk Sienkiewicz He was born in 5 May 1846 and dien 15 November 1916. He was a Polish journalist and Nobel Prize-winning novelist. A Polish szlachcic (noble) of the Oszyk coat of arms, he was one of the most popular Polish writers at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, and received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1905 for his "outstanding merits as an epic writer."
