  3. Claim Care History: • Founded in 1992 by Stacy L. Dye, of Paris, MO • Began working with local school districts specifically in 1998 by recognizing the complex issues facing school administrators and their therapy providers • This progressed into currently assisting over 135 school districts throughout Missouri Claim Care, Inc.

Schools Feeling the Stress of America’s Financial Crisis: Budget Cuts Hiring Freeze Larger teacher-student ratio These are all terms school districts throughout the state of Missouri are hearing right now. Claim Care is here to explain funding options some districts may need assistance with more now than ever. Claim Care, Inc.

Federal Stimulus Package: Capital Improvements: Operations: Building Construction Building Upgrades Ground Improvements More Teachers New Programs/Keeping current programs Districts still question when they will receive the money and how the money can be used… If it is used for staff salaries or ongoing programs what will happen in two years?   6. How Can Claim Care Help You and Your School District? Claim Care assists districts in implementing the following programs: • Direct Services (DS) • School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) • Local Tax Effort/Public Placement Fund (LTE/PPF) Claim Care, Inc.

Direct Services Billing: • MO HealthNet Billing for Speech/Language, Occupational, and/or Physical Therapy • Claim Care becomes an administrative hand when implementing this program for districts • Some of the many services we provide for this are: pre-printed billing forms, pre-printed scripts, eligibility verification, bi-weekly claim submission (according to claim cycles), payment spreadsheets, provider enrollment, personal training yearly or as requested by the district Claim Care, Inc.

School District Administrative Claiming: • Made available by the Missouri Department of Social Services, MO HealthNet Division • The purpose of the SDAC program is to promote and improve both availability and knowledge of medical care through MO HealthNet in our Missouri Schools • Reimbursable activities include: Outreach, Coordination, and/or Referrals to students for the improvement of health care services Claim Care, Inc.

Local Tax Effort/Public Placement Fund: Local Tax Effort Public Placement Fund Also known as “Domicile District” Process- Bill the district where a foster student’s parents reside and pay local taxes Purpose- Recoup funding from districts who receive money for your district’s educational services Reimbursement from DESE for educating IEP and non-IEP students placed within a non-domicile district by a state agency Funding is available when the educational costs of these students exceed the revenues received by the serving district Claim Care, Inc.
