  1. Global Solopreneur | Productivity Hacks for Solopreneurs If you are a solopreneur juggling between management and marketing, let me remind you that “you are not alone”. There are a million out there who are doing the same thing every single day trying to establish a brand of their own. Whether you are selling pizza or designing rockets, being a solopreneur is all about balance. On one hand, you are new to the world of business, and on the other hand, you are all alone. As scary as that seems to be, it is not a difficult feat. In the world of business management, whether you are a solopreneur or a large enterprise with a good number of employees, doesn’t matter. As long as you are

  2. doing what you love, and doing it right, being a solopreneur is a great way to launch your brand. In this article, I will discuss some simple and easy productivity hacks that help create a smoother process for running your business. Be Organized I know you are launching social media campaigns, responding to a bunch of emails, while at the same time running around meeting prospects and closing deals. This is the real big deal when it comes to creating a successful solopreneur brand. Being organized is not just about creating a bunch of calendar events or answering emails while driving. Set priorities, goals and be wise enough to decide what’s a priority and what’s not. Meeting a friend on a weekend might be a priority but whether to spend the entire day at the friend’s place is a choice. One of the super cool hacks to stay organized while on a short time crunch and low budget is to plan your week ahead, know your priorities and be prepared for family emergencies. Take baby steps such as planning your schedule one week at a time. If you are posting on social media, use scheduling tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer. Create a schedule for family dinner everyday at a time that’s convenient for everyone. Keep your immediate family posted about your schedule. If needed, use a shared calendar. Reduce unnecessary screen time. Call when urgent, but text wherever possible. 

  3. Be Mindful As a solopreneur, you are prone to multitasking. But, some research studies have proven that multitasking is not a productive way of working. You are pushing your brain to do 10 things at a time with a mental picture of doing it right every single time. Any slight imperfection can cause anxiety and stress, thus impacting your overall productivity. Whether or not you are a multitasking genius, try doing one thing at a time for a week and notice the difference. If you don’t feel more relaxed and less stressed, you are free to go back to being a multitasking ninja. Enjoy what you are doing — reading a book, writing an email or answering a text — practice doing it with a clear mind to improve productivity and reduce the number of possible errors. Be mindful of your mistakes to ensure you don’t keep repeating the same. Be Honest You must be wondering about the relation between honesty and productivity. Well, here’s the thing. Be honest to your clients — tell them you can’t do it if you cannot. Be honest about the genuine deadlines and efforts needed to complete a job. Just because you just started, or you are a small business, doesn’t mean you need to accept every single project that comes along your way. If something is beyond your capability or time constraints, be wise and honest to speak out. In fact, being honest serves 2 purposes: You save time and effort working on something that’s not within the scope of your business.

  4. You are building a brand on the pedestal of trust and transparency —  creating more respect in the market. Build a Brand on the pedestal of #trust and #transparency That’s not it. There are a million hacks for solopreneurs to improve productivity at work and witness progress in day to day tasks. But, let’s lay one brick at a time. Keep watching this space for more hacks on life, career and business — exclusively for solopreneurs from every nook and corner of the globe. #GlobalSolopreneur is Contenu’s latest publication venture — a personal advice portal for solopreneurs on how not to run a business.
