  2. What is it… • Diamond violence is when citizens are forced to work in diamond mines, when refusal occurs they are punished by having their hand and other limbs.

  3. Cause and Effect • Poverty-diamond violence • Diamond Violence- bloody civil wars, human rights abuse, child labor, and terrorist

  4. How Can We Help??? • There is already a treaty banning diamond smuggling, but there is still violence. There is always going to always be violence unless some extreme measures are taken against them. There are non-conflict diamond mines that we can support buy purchasing these diamonds instead of ones that will hurt others.
