VOLUME 4, ISSUE 7 May 2014 Final Word from Tonya… On Behalf of the PTO I would like to thank all the parents for the unbelievable time and support you have given to make this another great year for our kids.  On a personal note, I would like to say how wonderful it has been to work with parents and staff members as wonderful as we have in our Moyer community.  The past 10 years of working together with the kids, parents, and staff have made such a positive impact on my life as well as my family.  As my youngest child moves on to the middle school I want to say I will truly miss working with everyone in this school.  The traditions, old and new, at Moyer will continue to build positive and fun memories for our kids.  I am so excited to see the enthusiasm and great new plans the incoming PTO board has planned for continuing to move forward and keeping Moyer PTO a group that focuses on, and wants nothing but the best for it's students and staff.  Thank you again for making this school so special and allowing me to be a small part of it.  Tonya Tierney Ruth Moyer Elementary School PTO’sMustang Minutes Fort Thomas, KYwww.fortthomas.kyschools.us The entire PTO would like to thank Tonya for her years of work with PTO and as president. Stock up for the summer!!!  Due to the extended school year, there will be one more Market Day.  Order forms will go out in mid-May and be due to the school by May 23 or online by May 29.  Pick up will be June 3.  Feed your family – Help the school. Mustang Minutes It’s Time to Renew Your Participation in the Kroger Rewards Program Through your participation in the new Kroger Community Rewards Program, Kroger has donated over $4400 to Ruth Moyer during this school year. Please take a few minutes to renew or register to participate in the Kroger Community Rewards program and help earn even more money for Ruth Moyer. Simply: 1. The Adult Boutique at Santa House would like to request some old, gently used items from your home to recycle into newfound beauties for the 2014 Santa House!   Do you have any throw pillows you no longer use?   How about large serving utensils that are taking up much needed space in your kitchen drawers?   Need to clear that shelf of old mason jars?   De-clutter your space by donating that piece of furniture or lamp shade you really don't have a need for anymore! The students items will be on their desks the first ay of school in a nice box with “extra” goodies inside. They get stickers with their names on them which are great to get everything labeled.  Forms to be coming home soon! To order on line, go to www.shopttkits.com and enter #85765 through June 30th. Phase two of the playground has been ordered and Miracle Playground Company will be working on installation shortly.  Thank you to all fundraising efforts and countless volunteer hours for making this possible.  Phase three is in the beginning stages and we hope to move forward with this soon. Calendar of Events May 29th---5th Grade Celebration May 30th—Olympic Day June 4th—5th Grade Bowling June 5th—Last day of school 4th Grade Bowling 3rd Grade Picnic August 4th—Back to School Kick off August 5—New student orientation August 12—Kindergarten orientation Parents,  Last chance to place an order for this years yearbook.  Deadline has been extended for another week.  You can send your order form into school (or envelope marked with your child's information on it if you no longer have the form) or place the order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com the school code is 3054514.  Basic yearbook cost is only $20.  Don't delay, order today! Monday, Jan. 21st: No School!! Back to School Kick Off….Mark your calendars NOW!!!! Thursday, Feb. 14th: Kindergarten Registration The Annual Back to school kick off will be August 4th. Class schedules will be available at this time. You may also pay school fees at this time. There will be games for the kids and the Special Spirit Wear order will be available—special design and items only available at back to school night…don’t miss out!
