The story so far… Vision of BSCSC Committee: • To establish BSCSC as a Swim21 accredited ‘Skill Development’ club that serves the community of Berkhamsted and surrounding areas • The current pooltime requirements for Swim21 Skill Development accreditation with the ASA is: ‘Athletes access between 4 to 12 hours pool time per week, averaging 8,000 to 24,000+ metres per week for a minimum of 45 weeks per year in accordance with LTAD (CM1) ‘ • Revised pooltime arrangements on a Saturday and Sunday has addressed lane congestion, however securing an additional 2 hour is essential for further growth of the club

  3. What Swim 21 will mean for the club: • Serve as a kite mark for recommendations • Additional training opportunity as volunteer training and coaching courses can be attended at a significantly reduced rate • Upskill our level 2 coaches • Upskill our ‘lane enders’ • Ability to secure grants/funding to help pay for additional pooltime

  4. Successes of club in last 4 – 5 years • Membership numbers: • 2006: 65 • 2011: 96 • 2012: 100 • 48% increase • Promoted: Div 1 of Peanuts (2009) and Herts Major league in (2009 & 2012) • Won Division 2 of Peanuts in 2011 3 swimmers in Top 8 of Bagcats Number of Entries per swimmer significantly increased

Proposed Wednesday session • Additional time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Tring pool • Overall pooltime from 6.5 hours to 8.5 hours Current groups: Bronze 2 hours Silver 2.5 hours Gold 3 hours Platinum 4 hours Seniors 4.5 hours Masters 1.5 hours New groups: Pre-competition 2 hours Junior Development 2.5 hours Junior Competition 5 hours Senior Competition 5.5 hours Seniors 6.5 hours Diamond2 hours

Revised fee structure • Based on HHSC fee structure • We start to train now, but revised fees only kick in from August 2012 • First Wednesday session to take place 11th of April 2012 • What does the revised fees take into account: • More pooltime • 3% fee increase for the 2012/2013 membership year
