  2. Follow Up + New Activities. EXCO • Publicizing ECR to non ECR members. (include a list of targeted entities) • New contacts with Norway, Finland, Sweden and Portugal must be made to attract them to ECR before October. • New ECR members and observers: • Lithuania (full membership in June 2010) • Slovenia and Czech Republic new active observers.

  3. Follow Up + New Activities. EXCO • Contact with other organisations: • TISPOL, IRU, CEFIC. • New declaration of intent with TISPOL to increase collaboration. • ECR and IRU envisage signing a MOU. • New Training Activities: • New Master Class on ADR. EXCO collaborating with Training working group, to design the course content and to contact European specialist on the matter.

  4. Follow Up + New Activities. EXCO Indemnification of travel costs for delegates participating in the Working Groups: • Method decided with the financial services of the Secretariat-Benelux. • The Secretariat co-ordinating the matter. • One delegate per country, per meeting. • Conditions for reimboursement established. • Monitoring of the results to make decissions on the effectiveness of the method in future.

  5. Follow Up + New Activities. EXCO • Service Level Agreement: • Letter of intent to increase the committment, participation and back-up above all in the working groups. Signature from all members with ECR. • Letter of intent for the ECR General Delegate as far as external representation is concerned.

  6. Follow Up + New Activities. EXCO • There is not yet a majority in the European Parliament for the establishment of a European Road Transport Agency. • Nothing is impeding ECR to fill in the gap and work towards improvement of the current situation. • The ECR Executive Committee can take the initiative to establish contact between relevant MEP members such as Mrs. HellaRanner (AT) and Mr. Peter van Dalen (NL), in order to explore the possibilities. • Suggested initiatives, concluded from what is stated above, that could contribute towards a situation in which the sanctions resulting from infringements to the EU road transport acquis are more HARMONISED.

  7. Follow Up + New Activities. EXCO • ECR website: • The new website is almost ready. • The relation with the subcontractor carried out by the Secretariat. • Bussiness Cards: • They contribute to increase the ECR external image.The secretariat has delivered them for all ECR representatives without any costs.

  8. Follow Up + New Activities. EXCO • Increasing the collaboration with the European Institutions, specially with the European Commission is a main EXCO target.
