Electronics Engineering Technology – Marine Systems 1963 – 1970 1963- Data Systems 1970 – 1999 - BioMed 1988 – 1991 Electronic Information Systems Technology – Computer Systems 1999 - Data Systems 1999 - 2005 -Technician 1999 - 2001 Electrical Engineering Technology – Computer Systems 2005Electronic Communication Systems 2005 -2010 Electronics Engineering Technology - Computer Systems 2010 Electronic Communication Systems 2010 -present

Curriculum • Current Curriculum format is a result of Academic renewal (2005/2006) and a common first year with the Electronics program at Moncton campus (exception of 1 course) • Also common first year with the Electrical Engineering Technology – Alternate Energy Systems program in Moncton. • Saint John program offers an optional co-op work term. • Biggest changes made were in lab hours and lab delivery methods.

  7. Electronics Engineering Technology Some Statistics: Tuition: $2600 / year Class size (average): 25 Duration: 2 years, 3 years (coop) Employment: - 90% within a year of graduation - average salary $34,000 per year

  8. Engineering Technology Nationally accredited! Our graduates become Certified Engineering Technologists. International agreements make these credentials recognizable on an international level.

EET Electronic - Communications Systems hasCanadian Forces Accreditation • Students enrolled in EET Electronic Communications option, considering the pursuit of a career in the Canadian Forces are eligible to receive advanced standing, a salary (with benefits), and support to offset tuition and materials if accepted. • This program is called the “Non-Commissioned Member Subsidized Education Plan” (NCM-SEP) EET is accredited to provide training for the following Canadian Forces careers: • Naval Electronics Technician (and Naval Weapons Technician) • Aerospace Telecommunication & Information Systems Technician • Land Communication and Information Systems Technician • Electronic-Optronic Technician (Land)
