Inauguration • SAKSHAM at Pune University commenced on 11th Nov 2013 with 22 participants from different affiliated colleges. • Inaugural address was done by Dr. Sanjeev Sonavane, HOD, Dept. of Education, Pune University. • Inauguration function was attended by Ms. ShiwaniSahay, program Manager, Saksham, Microsoft. • Prof. (Dr.) Sonavane spoke about the integration of technology into education and importance of Industry-Academia collaboration. • Ms. ShiwaniSahay introduced Saksham and spoke about the success of the program in 30 universities across nation. • Microsoft trainer Sandeep Tomar and ShaheenShafi also attended inaugural function

Take aways – Pune University • Participants found IT sessions very interesting. especially Microsoft Excel, Advance features of PowerPoint, Accessibility and Office 365. • Participants found activities like planning technology integrated lessons, visioning exercises as well as questioning and listening role plays very interesting and took part in these very enthusiastically. • Participants found Office Web Apps and SkyDrive very useful for collaboration and data collection. • The sessions on Windows Accessibility Features and features of Lync for video conferencing were very much appreciated by all. • Presentations on Accessibility were provided to all the participants by creating a shared folder on SkyDrive. • Link to Digital Literacy site “dsaksharta.in” was shared with participants and they were explained how to register, study and take certification test on it.

Sound Bytes Saksham at Pune University – 11-20 Nov. 2013 These Ten Days These ten days of being a participant in the Microsoft Saksham IT champion course were really motivating and inspiring for me. We all learnt a lot through this course. It was all very joyful learning. Our teachers Sandeep sir and Shaheen Madam taught us very well through their utmost sincerity and innovative techniques. We appreciate their patience. Each and every minute of the course was found to be fruitful. The activities conducted during course was innovative and good and it is helpful to establish rapport between student and teacher and other personnel. The faculty of Saksham was expert and their way of conducting course was remarkable. They solved each and every queries of participant. They gave us lots of information about Microsoft Office 2010, websites/courses, Office 365 and many more. These information will useful for our research work and Ph.D holder.
