  6. II. Sites of Middle-class Power -Bildung and Sittlichkeit -sociability: clubs and associations -the family, gender roles, and “morality” -law, order, discipline: crime and police -the new military ethos: the uniform -masculinity and the duel -consumption, status, and wealth
