  2. WP2: progress Anhui • Limited progress Anhui test site: • Lack of human resources on Alterra side • Communication with AIFER colleagues difficult • Prepared and organized CGMS/WOFOST workshop at Hefei (2011/nov/02) • Discussed and renewed list of tasks for Anhui CGMS setup during workshop

  3. WP2: progress Morocco • Intensive discussion on meteorologic inputs: AURELHY vs Classic CGMS • Basic data sources are available • INRA (HichamMarzouki) started building CGMS together with Alterra (R. vdWijngaart) • Riad: How to get operational a.s.a.p. for March 2012 forecast

  4. CGMS Statistical Toolbox • CGMS Statistical toolbox was developed for Windows XP -> problems under Windows7 • Alterra migrated CST to Windows7 recently: fully functional on MS Access database. • Testing on ORACLE (yesterday) revealed some problems to be resolved.

  5. E-AGRI deliverables: Usability reports Anhui/Morocco • Inventory of available data sources and their suitability for applying CGMS • Inventory made during Hefei workshop • Inventory of factors explaining regional yield variability in Anhui: irrigation, fertilizer, disease, lodging (hard wind) • Alterra will create questionaire in January, to be circulated with experts in Anhui/Morocco • Inventory of technical constraints • e.g. is ORACLE available/usable • Etc.
