  4. How is the IELTS speaking test assessed? Let’s start with the first set of slides

  5. The marking scheme will be based on the following criteria: Fluency– Examiner will judge how fluently and effortlessly you are speaking without any hesitation. Grammatical range– This criterion will judge how good your grammar is and so you need to avoid grammatical mistakes. Pronunciation– The words you use should be correctly pronounced. You need to be sure that whatever you are speaking should be understood by the examiner. Vocabulary– It refers to the speaking vocabulary that you have learned to be able to communicate your ideas and opinions. To achieve a really good band score, you must have a really good vocabulary for IELTS speaking and intellectual skills.

  7. Pastime: an activity that is done for enjoyment purposes. For example- Gardening is her favorite pastime. I might go to the park tomorrow, possibly in the evening for some pastime. Making a to do list, can help people to become more productive in life. To subsidize: to pay part of the cost of something, usually to help people. The company has decided to subsidize health insurance for its employees. The government is encouraging people to buy electric vehicles by providing subsidies to students. Perks: reward from an employer, which is not financial Personally. I’d like to work for a company that gives a lot of perks as I would find this very enjoyable. Doing an internship can have many perks, like a stipend, certificate, letter of recommendation, etc.
