  2. When indicating TIME/PLACE – in, on, at 1. GENERAL - IN Use the preposition “in” when indicating time and a place in general. For example: TIME PLACE centuries (the 1800s) country (Prague) decades (the 80s) city (Cebu City) neighborhood (Chinatown) years (1970, 1980)

  4. When indicating TIME/PLACE – in, on, at 2. More Specific - ON Use the preposition “on” when indicating a more specific time and place . For example: TIME PLACE days (Monday, Friday) streets (Oxford Street) weekend avenue (Jones Avenue) date (April 1, 2013)
