  2. Duties My duty as a travel agent is to direct all tourists to places like hotels, parks, restaurants and if they wish I can also direct them to landmarks in the area. People who are just entering the country and have never been there before cant direct themselves correctly. So its my job to help them find shelter, a place to eat and drink, and so they can enjoy their visit to the United States of America.

  3. Salary Travel agents can get paid within the average of $57,000 a year. Travel agent does not pay that well but working with the travel agency helps you to learn more about the landmarks which for me its rewarding enough.

  4. Employment Prospects There will be enough jobs in the future because the population in the world is growing daily. There will be more people needed to direct as many people possible. Without the travel agent a lot of people would get lost with all the commotion happening in the environment around them.

  5. Education and Training For a job in the industry of hospitality and tourism you will need a bachelors degree. You will also need to have knowledge in world geography and economy. Plus you will also need to know how to be greet people according to their accustoms so they can feel welcomed in the any country.
