  2. Governance and Strenghtening of the Forum • Disseminate broadly the decisions adopted by the Forum of Ministers, in the relevant instances and processes, in particular the UNEA. • Continue promoting political dialogue and sharing of experiences on environmental topics of regional interest, to identify common regional visions and understandings to increase South-South cooperation and to enhance the endogenous capacities of the region. • To undertake the update of the ILAC and identify priority issues in the intersessional meeting of this forum, with the support of the Secretariat, and report on its achievements to the XX Meeting of the Forum of Ministers. • To request the Secretariat to create a Clearinghouse mechanism (CHM) of the Forum, covering the agendas and programmes of other subregional and regional mechanisms, to identify and promote coherence of existing work, avoid duplication and contribute to knowledge management, and report on its achievements to the XX Meeting of the Forum of Ministers .

Environmental Education for Sustainable Development • Development of the ETN –LAC work plan … with following guidelines and actions: • promote environmental education through innovative technologies • continue participating and assisting technically and financially the regional Environmental Education Congresses … • continue promoting the participation of universities of the region in GUPES, …And, in particular, to develop an assessment on mainstreaming environment in universities… • promote the development of training programmes for judges and prosecutors • 2. Promote and strengthen youth and children organizations dedicated to the environment … • 3. Facilitate the exchange of experiences and South-South cooperation • 4. Ratify the importance of the payment of the annual voluntary contribution to the ETN trust fund … • 5. Entrust ETN focal points … with the development of a strategy proposal for the identification and mobilization of resources and potential partnerships

ILAC INDICATORS • To approve the WGEI Work Plan for 2014-2015 • To support the development of indicators that provide information on the links between different priority areas of ILAC. • To request WGEI to assist in the revision of the ILAC priority issues, harmonizing environmental indicators of the Initiative with the results of the SDGs • To encourage the development of environmental information systems on platforms accessible to the public • To promote the government programmes of South-South Cooperation

Regional Action Plan on Atmospheric Pollution • Adoption of the regional plan of action as an option of voluntary guide for the development of national action plans • Encouragegovernments to identify the economic resources needed for the sustainability of the air quality monitoring networks • To strengthen public-private dialogue and the role of all sectors and levels of government to implement this Regional Action Plan • To request UNEP and other agencies of the ITC their support for the implementation of the plan.

  6. SustainableConsumption and Production • Support the 10 Year Framework of Programmes on SCP • Promote the inclusion of SCP as an essential element of the SDGs and the post-2015 development agenda, with the support of UNEP • Request the consideration of an additional programme for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and on integrated sustainable waste management • Welcome the launching of the Global SCP Clearinghouse

Principle 10 • Reaffirm the commitment towards the full implementationof Principle in LAC. • Recognize the progress achieved in the process of the Declaration on the implementation of Principle 10 in LAC, and encourage its consolidation as inclusive and participatory regional setting to build a common vision and to strengthen national capacities. • Continue efforts to strengthen regional dialogue and cooperation, technical assistance and capacity building on the rights of access.

Small IslandsDevelopingStates • Raisespecialvulnerabilities and circumstancesof SIDS in regional and internacional environmentalfora. • Communicate to UNEA decision of XIX Forum, related a SIDS specific sub-programme in UNEP MTS. • Callupon ITC to assistCaribbean SIDS forimplementation of the ILAC. • Callforspecificplatform in the 10YFP on SCP. • Callupon UN System, in particular UNEP and ITC, to supportCaribbean SIDS in preparationfor 2014 International Year of SIDS. • Urge priorization of southsouthcooperationwithCaribbean SIDS. • Callupon UN System to supportCaribbean SIDS in priorityareas. • Callupon LAC countries to support SIDS in thepreperatoryprocess and theThirdConferenceon SIDS and implementation plan .

  9. Chemicals and Waste • Development of regional work programmes to promote the sound management of chemicals and waste, and the coordinated implementation of the international agreements. • Concrete cooperation actions among governments to facilitate the implementation of the Minamata Convention on Mercury. • Highlight the need to mobilise sufficient financial resources to comply with the international commitments
