Company Overview • Founded in the winter of 1957-1958 in Ellicottville, NY • Started with only four slopes and one T-bar • Currently has 10 lifts and 3 high speed quads • 58 slopes and trails • 3 base lodges • 2 hotels • Golf course • 3 pools • Aerial Park • Mountain Coaster • Sky High Aerial Adventure Park

  3. Problem • Parent’s and children’s information is stored separately, no connection • Current database clears records after each ski season. • Customer had to fill out the same forms at each visit.

Database Design Overview • Three tables • Equipment • Children’s information • Parent (Customer) Information • Reports based on tables • Present information in a fast, easily accessible fashion • Reports • Children • Children by Level • Children’s Equipment • Customer Equipment Registration • Customers • Customers by City • Customer’s Children

  5. User Interface Design • Made with the user in mind • Simple and efficient access to information • Easy to search for customers based on relationships • Connects child’s information to parent’s, vice versa
