  1. Metrica CSA07 Neil Geddes CSA07 Meeting 1 Nov 2007 • Reconstruct events at the Tier-0 at greater than 100 Hz for 30 day • a) The target is 24 hr/day, threshold 20 hrs/day 5 days a week Target: 100 Hz ~ 500 MB/s Otput Rate to Castor • 2. Transfer data between CERN and the Tier-1 centers at agg. rate of 300MB/s • a) Each Tier-1 site should have a successful transfer on 95% of the challenge days • b) Each Tier-1 should reach their fraction of 300MB/s on 50% of the challenge days • c) The threshold rate is 200MB/s

  2. 3. Transfer data from a Tier-1 to any Tier-2 centers with 12 hour bursts between 20-200MB/s depending on the link • a) The threshold is 10MB/s for 12 hour bursts at 75% of the Tier-2 sites > 1 Tier-1 • 4. Transfer data from Tier-2 to associated Tier-1 at a sustained rate of 10MB/s • a). Threshold goal is 50% of the participating Tier-2 centers • 45 “Active” T2 sites during CSA07 • As of last week (DDT) • 31 sites have commissioned uplinks • 30 sites have commissioned downlinks • 12 sites have no commissioned links • T2 sites transferring >430GB from a T1 in a day = • 12 for production data (27%) BUT36 for debug (80%) • Number of T2 sites doing this from more than 1 T1 = • 4 for production data (9%) BUT 26 for debug =(62%) • T2 sites transferring >430GB to a T1 in a day = • 0 for production data (no data to transfer) • 29 sites (64%) for debug data

• 5. Demonstrate the execution of skimming and reprocessing jobs at Tier-1 centers • a). Target from the computing model is 25k jobs/day. Threshold goal is 10k jobs/day • 6. Demonstrate analysis processing at Tier-2 centers driven by user submissions • a).The target is 75k jobs per day. The threshold goal is 50k • 7. Simulate 50M events per month using the Tier-2 centers • a). Threshold goal is 30M events per month

  5. Stato CSA07 Ilaria Segoni EWK meeting 6/11/07 • CSA07 Cocktail Preparation of three soups: - ALPGEN “Chowder” To Be Re-done - PYTHIA with Filters “Stew” Done - PYTHIA without Filters “Gumbo” To be done • Dividsion of each samples in 6+1 Primary Datasets based on HLT: Electron, Muon, JetMET, BJet, Tau, Gamma, AllEvent  done for available soups (Chowder & Stew) ALPGEN “Chowder” (La zuppa di pesce) • ttbar+Jets (up to • W+Jets (up to 5 Jets) • Z/g*+Jets (up to 5 Jets) • The Status: • The AllEvent PD was RECO’ed and Skimmed, but the RECO step included the HCAL bug  it will be re-done (note that due to computing problems it would have had to be re-done anyways) /CSA07Muon/CMSSW_1_6_4-CSA07-Tier0-A2-Chowder/RECO /Wmunu/CMSSW_1_6_7-CSA07-1192835438/RECO …………… /Zmumu/CMSSW_1_6_7-CSA07-1192835913/RECO

  6. PYTHIA with Filters “Stew” (lo stufato) • The Samples: • BbartoJpsi • BtoJpsi • bbe_Pt_170_up, bbe_Pt_50_170, bbe_Pt_5_50 • QCD_Pt_0_15 • Charmonium_Pt_20_inf, Charmonium_Pt_0_20 • Bottomonium_Pt_20_inf, Bottomonium_Pt_0_20 • Electron_ppEleX • Muon_ppMuX • The Status: • Split in 6+1 Primary Datasets: Done • RECO (with CMSSW_167, HCAL BUG fixed release): Ongoing • Skimming: Starting /CSA07Muon/CMSSW_1_6_7-CSA07-Tier0-A2-Stew/RECO
