  1. Theological Virtues - Tobit & Jack Whigham Building on moral virtues with the theological virtues The road to sainthood involves not only the moral virtues but also the theo- logical virtues. These virtues are bestowed at Baptism but can be enhanced through one’s lifetime. Baptism remits Patton, Tobit & Jack Whighamindigine sin plus makes a person an adopted “child of God.” Sanctifying grace is given at Baptism, what makes a person holy and more than that thus able to enter the holiness of heaven. Along with sanctifying grace, Baptism also makes the soul pliable and more than that ready for legitimate grace, which is the supernatural On The Waterfront, Tobit and Jack Whigham gift from God that enables you to do holy things (like pray, forgive your enemies, endure hardships, make sacrifices for others, have courage while in the midst of difficulties, and so on). Following are the theological virtues: ? Faith is believing the same thing that God says simply since the it comes from God. ? Hope is trusting in promises that God has yet to fulfill, knowing that those promises one day will come to fruition, at a time and sometimes position that is right for God. ? Love, theologically, is usually a spiritual love, wanting precisely what is best for someone else, putting others above one’s self. It’s not a sexual love or a biological love; it’s seeking to love God as well as to love your neighbor. The theological virtues build on precisely what the moral, cardinal virtues hopefully noticed as a foundation. Faith, hope, and sometimes love empower you to believe which God has revealed, to trust in his mercy and sometimes providence, to love God with your whole heart and more than that soul, and sometimes to love your neighbor as yourself. The daily struggle to live a holy life is made probable by the theological virtues. Hence, people want and more than that need more faith, more hope, plus more love every day of their lives until they finally purchase to heaven, where there is the fullness of grace as well as the total joy without end. Sainthood begins with virtue as well as ends in holiness. It’s a lifelong process — there’s never a time what time a person can stop being prudent, now, temperate, or courageous. Inside same way, faith, hope, and more than that love are never fully realized in anticipation of we making an acquisition to heaven, but God gives us little morsels to savor along the way.
