  2. Chiswick House Chiswick House is a Neo-Palladian villa built during the reign of King George II in England.

  3. Villa Saraceno Dating from the 1540s, this is one of Palladio's earlier works. It takes its name from the aristocratic family who commissioned it.

  4. Villa Trissano Thomas Jefferson’s designs for the University of Virginia in the USA shows some similarities to the design of this villa by Palladio.

  5. Villa Emo This is one of Palladio’s most accomplished designs, showing the benefit of 20 years of experience in domestic architecture. It has been praised for its simple and elegant proportions, both in the elevation and the size of the rooms.

  6. Palladian Window The Palladian, or Venetian, window features a lot in Palladio's work. The window consists of a central light with semicircular arch over, carried on a small entablature, with two smaller lights on both sides.

  8. Montecello The house, which Jefferson himself designed, was based on Palladio’s designs. Its name comes from the Italian for "little mountain."

  9. Zaha Hadid was asked to design an installation to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Palladio’s birth (1508-2008). The installation was to be installed in ‘La Malcontenta’. The installation was to represent the connection between dialogue between contemporary architectural design and Palladio.
