Classes of Members • Professional – Individuals employed in the Information Technology industry • Student– Individuals entered in a university or college whose degree major is in the Information Technology field • Enterprise– Makes it more beneficial for companies to have multiple employees in AITP. • When joining AITP, also join a chapter. Additional dues apply. If no nearby chapter, then be an “individual member”. • Members are assigned to a geographic Region.

How Chapter Succeed - 2 • Students are the future – support and involve them • Check out what other chapters provide their members • Visit their web pages • Participate in region activities and network with your peers in other chapters • Ensure AITP knows your current set of chapter leaders. Ensure your web site and your chapter landing page note the right people. • Do the same for your student chapters. • These leaders get important memos from the Association and Region. • Read Information Executive and the emails from AITP
