  3. History • Pink Floyd was formed by Syd Barrett and Roger Waters in Cambridge, England in 1965. • While Barrett provided much of the lyrics and guitar riffs, he was replaced by Gilmour in the late 60’s, due to degrading mental stability and drug abuse.

Why I Like Pink Floyd • The love of Pink Floyd runs in my blood, with both of my uncles being life-long fans. • David Gilmour has created some of the cleanest guitar riffs and solos which have inspired myself to take up playing guitar myself. • Roger Waters’ lyrical skills are inspired deeply by important events and can speak to anyone from die-hard fans to nonchalant listeners.
