  5. ADVERBS TELLING HOW quietly differently firmly clearly quickly happily joyfully interestingly beautifully carefully

  6. ADVERBS • Adverbs can come before or after the verbs they describe.

  7. ADVERB EXAMPLE WHEN • Today we are studying adverbs. • Today is the adverb telling when.

  8. ADVERB EXAMPLE WHEN • Soon it will be summer. • Soon is the adverb in the sentence.

  9. ADVERB TELLING WHEN • The glass festival is held annually in Mt. Pleasant. • Annually is the adverb in the sentence.

  10. ADVERB EXAMPLE WHERE • His mother sent him upstairs to study. • Upstairs is the adverb in the sentence.

  11. ADVERB EXAMPLE WHERE • Mr. Michael can be anywhere in the building. • Anywhere is the adverb in the sentence.
